My work explores modern manifestations of violence, both coordinated and circumstantial, particularly the clamorous juxtaposition of hyper-masculinity and powerlessness. This new series is based on our collective fear and attraction to revolt, as well as revolt’s media amplification. With imagery that is both elegiac and ferocious, these paintings examine the paradox that systems of power are built on individual moments of chaos.
