Jason Mones is a painter who explores the dynamics of social power and its relationship to our shared humanity. Through the unflinching use of memory, humor and conflict, he creates social spaces that reflect the psychological tension, and at times redemptive allure in our experiences. His list of residencies include the Fine Arts Work Center, the Bemis Center for the Arts, and the AIM program at the Bronx Museum of the Arts. He holds an MFA from the Yale School of Art and a BFA from RISD. Currently he lives and works in Kingston, NY.
